1. General provisions and definition of terms

1.1. The  Indie Online Film Awards is created with the aim of supporting and developing film art , as well as presenting films from around the world.
1.2. The Film Festival is scheduled online on the YouTube channel.
1.3. The program of the Film Festival is currently includes only competition program.
1.4. For the purposes of these Regulations, the following terms and definitions apply: Short film - a film with a duration of no more than 25 minutes, which meets the requirements in rules.

2. Competition programs

2.1. Participation in the competition programs of the Film Festival.
Applications for participation in the competition programs of the Film Festival are accepted from any legal entities or individuals who have reached the age of 18, without any restrictions with regard to citizenship and place of residence (location), who are the authors of an audiovisual work that meets the requirements of these Regulations, or at least have a sufficient amount of property rights for filing an application and granting permission to the Organizer to use such a work within the framework of the Film Festival.
2.2. The International Competition Program allows for participation short film (1-25 min) completed after January 1, 2017.
2.3.1. The winners of the International Competition Program are determined in the following categories:

Best Director
Best Animation film
Best Thriller
Best Music Video
Best Experimental film
Best Student Film
Honorable Mention
2.3.2. Film Festival reserve the right to omit a particular award if we don’t receive enough entries in that category. If we deem it appropriate, additional categories of awards may be presented.
2.5. Information about the winner films in the International Competition Program and winners are published on the official website.
2.6. No financial remuneration provided.
2.7. Any decisions must be considered final and cannot be disputed.

3. Rules

3.1. Filmmakers are responsible for sorting out the copyright on their own materials.
3.2. Films must include English subtitles (unless the spoken language is English).
3.3. Short films cannot exceed 25 minutes (credits included).
3.4. Short films produced during and after the year 2017 will be admitted.
3.5. All submissions for the Film Festival are to be paid through the FilmFreeway platform.
3.6. Jury’s verdict is fully irrefutable. The submission fee is non-refundable.
3.7. Applications for participation are accepted from any legal entities or individuals who have reached the age of 18 (under 18 — with parental/guardian permission).

4. Intellectual property rights and guarantees

4.1. The fact of submitting an application on the basis of these Regulations for participation in the events of the Film Festival program means that the person who submitted the application: carefully read the provisions of these Regulations, including the requirements for films / film projects that can participate in the Festival, and confirms that they fully understand and accept them; confirms that they have sufficient authority to file an application and this action does not violate the rights and / or legal interests of third parties; and agrees to grant the Organizer the right to authorize access to the film / film project to the members of the respective juries, and in case of selection - the right to use the film / film project through a public demonstration within and for the duration of the Film Festival.
4.2. The person who submitted the application and submitted the relevant materials to the Organizer on the basis of these Regulations shall be solely responsible for any claims, law suits, demands of any other kind made to that person and / or the Organizer in connection with the use of those materials within the framework of the Film Festival, and immediately compensate the Organizer for all costs that have arisen or may arise in this regard.
4.3. The Organizer guarantees that it will not use audiovisual works and other materials of persons who have submitted applications in accordance with these Regulations in ways not specified in these Regulations.

5. Final provisions

5.1. In the event of disputes arising in regard to these Regulations, they shall be resolved through conscientious and constructive negotiations between the conflicting parties.
5.2. On all issues not regulated by these Regulations, the Organizer makes separate decisions, and communicates them additionally.
5.3. The provisions of these Regulations may be supplemented and/or amended at any time with subsequent publication on the official website of the Film Festival. The Organizer will not inform in advance about such changes.

6.1. Participation in the Festival and its film submission process implies acceptance, without reservation, of the present regulations. An entry form is valid without a signature and a seal.
